Our Story

We hope you're all staying safe and healthy while you're staying home during the past weeks of COVID related shut downs. We have 2 things we wanted to share with you!
1st - After 15 years, Petite Provence is Closing our store
Sadly, after 15 years, we've had to take the difficult decision to close the doors of our store in Capitola, though not necessarily due to COVID-19.
As if the Coronavirus Pandemic wasn’t already enough, in early March of this year the owner, Veronique, was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease). Unfortunately we won't be re-opening for business at our Capitola location, but wanted to let you know we're still open online at www.petiteprovence.com

If there's something you usually get at the shop and don't see it online - please let us know at info@petiteprovence.com and we can help you get your order placed, for curbside pickup, or delivery - we'll figure it out! (consumable items such as lotions, L'Occitane line, Jams, taper candles, pottery, your favorite jewelry, or anything else you can think of that may not be online yet).
For all of you that are local - we are so sorry that we can't re-open our store, and will miss seeing all of you! Thank you for your support over these last 15 years, it's been a joy to be part of such a wonderful community - thank you for keeping us going for as long as we did!
We’re currently operating out of our warehouse location, on the west side of Santa Cruz. Make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter to hear about some amazing deals and our liquidation sales as we wind things down over the next few months - fixtures, products, furniture, everything is going to go.
If you have any questions, please contact us at info@petiteprovence.com
2nd - A Promotion to Benefit ALS: #ALSInThisTogether  (May is ALS Awareness Month!)
ALS is a topic that has recently become especially dear to our hearts, with Veronique’s diagnosis in March.
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to the brain losing the ability to initiate and control muscle movement, with patients eventually losing the ability to speak, eat, move, and breathe. It's estimated that there are between 16,000-20,000 people who have this disease at any given time. To learn more about ALS, click here: http://www.alsa.org/about-als/what-is-als.html
With all the challenges of the Coronvirus Pandemic, COVID-19 has increased the physical/financial, and emotional burdens face by people living with ALS and their loved ones. Trials have been put on hold, and development of treatments has slowed. There are promising new treatments out there, but access to them has gotten even harder!
We're offering 2 ways you can help raise awareness and help fight this disease:
1. We are donating 25% of all online proceeds for the Month of May to this cause - for any order you place at  www.petiteprovence.com during the month of May, 25% of your purchase price will go towards the development and testing
of Prosetin, a promising new drug that the people at ProjectALS are trying to get to trials and approval (independently of the big Pharmas). Learn more at http://www.prosetin2020.org
2. You can donate directly to a new promising drug for ALS patients here:
(don't forget to ask your employer if they have a company match program where they will match your donation!)
You can also help advocate for ALS and help lead the fight to defeat ALS on the front lines by registering here:
Give what you can - but even if you can't afford to purchase or donate, just by passing the message on to others you will be contributing. Help us spread the word: send this to a friend or share it on social media (FB, Twitter, Instagram...)
Thank you for your ongoing support!

Petite Provence imports and sells table linens and other kitchen and household accessories that are made in the Provence region, in the South of France. We personally travel to France to hand select the products we sell, so we can offer you the best selection of patterns and styles while making sure that we import only the finest quality products

Having lived in the United States for a number of years, I often traveled back and forth to France to visit family. On these trips home I would inevitably end up purchasing some of these Provencal products to take back with me - a new tablecloth here, a breadbasket there, a tote bag that became my favorite diaper bag for my baby. My friends and acquaintances always loved the things I brought back; the items around our house and kitchen always drew comments from guests. They were even more delighted when I gave them as gifts.

It seemed like there should be an easier way to find these products - without having to travel all the way to France!

Welcome to Petite Provence. We offer one of the largest selections of the best quality French linens and tablecloths, and other French kitchen and household accessories - online or in our shops. We hope you'll stay and look around. It's our pleasure to be able to bring a little of the South of France to you.

We are located in Santa Cruz , California and we can ship to you anywhere in the continental United States. Please feel free to browse through the site and our collections, and to contact us with any questions or comments you might have.

Merci!
